Position Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Caseworkers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be working with children and families who are involved with the Department of Children’s Services, providing therapeutic interventions to support their mental health and overall well-being.

This position includes Home Based Services, Adoption and Guardianship Support Services, Family Preservation Services, and Family Centered Treatment services. This role will provide home visitation and therapeutic services for clients; document all contacts with clients; and produce all required reports in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and families involved with the Department of Children’s Services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and therapeutic goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, counseling, and support to children and families to address emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, social workers, and other professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes. ● Advocate for the mental health needs of children and families within the legal and regulatory framework.
  • Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in mental health therapy, especially as they relate to the population served.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Currently able to work with clients under state law.
  • Experience working with children and families involved with child protective services or similar organizations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing situations.
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/Burmese)
